I am the founder behind Northborn Gems.

I grew up in Umeå in northern Sweden, where nature has always been a natural part of my life. The forest has long been my place for peace, recovery, and inspiration.

It was there that the idea for Northborn Gems was born – a desire to preserve the beauty of nature and let it stay with us even after we have left the forest.

Where it all began

I began to notice all the small details we often walk past – a beautiful leaf, a flower by the roadside, the moss on a stone, or a crystal hidden in the ground.

I wanted to find a way to preserve that feeling.

For me, creating is about so much more than just gathering materials. It is about the scent of the forest after rain, birdsong among the trees, the feeling of moss under my feet, and the cool weight of a crystal just picked from the ground.

Handmade with care

Each piece of jewelry is created by hand by me at home in my studio.

I am a mother and work full-time alongside the business, and creating has become my creative sanctuary in everyday life.

Each piece of jewelry becomes like a small time capsule where a moment from nature gets to live on.

Materials with consideration

The botanical jewelry contains real flowers, leaves, moss, mushrooms, and other natural materials that I collect, dry, and preserve myself.

The crystals are hand-picked in Sweden by me or other Swedish stone collectors, with respect for both nature and the people behind the work.

The jewelry components come from a female entrepreneur in the Nordics and consist of hypoallergenic surgical steel that is tested according to current EU standards.
