Lepidolite

This necklace is created with a hand-picked lepidolite from Varuträsk in Västerbotten. I collected the crystal myself in the Västerbotten wilderness, and then transformed it into a unique piece of jewelry using gold-colored stainless steel.

Lepidolite is a beautiful purple mineral that belongs to the mica group. Its color can vary from soft light purple to deeper purple tones, often with a naturally shimmering expression. The crystal's color, shape, and structure are part of its natural character, which makes each piece unique.

Lepidolite has long been associated with calm, balance, harmony, and inner peace. It is often seen as a symbol for letting go of stress, finding a calmer pace, and creating more balance in life. Whether you wear it for its symbolism or simply because you love its natural purple color and beautiful expression, it is a crystal with a fine and gentle feel.

What makes this particular necklace extra special is its origin. The crystal does not come from a mass-produced collection or from the other side of the world. I hand-picked it myself in Varuträsk in Västerbotten and selected it with care to create this very necklace.

Choosing locally hand-picked crystals also means a more conscious alternative to long-distance, mass-produced crystal jewelry. A shorter journey from nature to finished jewelry, personal hand-picking, and a craft where every piece has been given its own place.

The lepidolite is framed by gold-colored stainless steel, which gives the jewelry a warm and elegant feel. The chain is 45–50 cm long and adjustable, making it easy to adapt the necklace to how you want to wear it, close to the neck or a little lower down.

To highlight the crystal's natural colors and give it a beautiful, glossy surface, the lepidolite is carefully covered with resin. The resin layer gives the stone extra luster while making it water-resistant and UV-resistant, so that the beautiful surface and color remain lovely over time.
